About the Author

He started his search for something when he finally graduated from the Military and the school of Hard Knocks, looking for something that a Major in Psychology did nothing to help. Looking for that Silver Bullet to help him and others (which of course he never found).

What he did find was Hatha Yoga, which he practiced intensively for 15 years as a disciple of the disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda. He started to find himSelf. Yoga opened a new world up for him. Initiated into Transcendental Meditation, he also adopted the practice of Laya Yoga, Kriya Yoga, Yantra, Mantra and Tantra Yoga, Kundalini, Bardo, Guru, Sahaj, The Six Yogas of Nairopa, and Raj Yogas. While practicing Karate, he studied Zen, a Course in Miracles, crisis intervention, and Lifeline counselling. Further studies over many years included Subud, Freemasonary, the I Ching, Tarot, Science of Mind, Comparative Religions, Regression Therapy (Past and Present Lives), Hypnosis, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), Transformational Trainings, Psychic Self Defence and Esoteric Healing. He also ran Mind Games Groups, Psychic Healing and Rebirthing Counselling Groups, Energy Healing Groups and Weight Loss (based on the work of Prof Manorama Legha).

Over the past 35 years he has studied and practiced extensively in the Western Inner Mystery Traditions, including Masonary, Rosecrucianism, Christian Gnosticism and Kabbalah (specifically Hermetic) working with primarily Hermetic, Lurianic, Ecstatic and Magickal Kabbalah from source material under a master for the past 30 years. He has consulted for many years as a spiritual counsellor and draws from all these different disciplines; he combines his experience with the principals and processes of both current state-of-the-art “inner” technologies and the science and art of ancient techniques that have been proven to inspire insights and heal inner pain. These experiences resulted in transformational, ontologically and epistemologically based workshops run in Johannesburg, South Africa, entitled “The Art of Winning the War Within”, based on Sun Tzu’s “The Art of War”.
